Being The Observer

For a few moments, I’d like to ask you to dis-engage from the activity you are involved in; sit in a comfortable position, notice if you are breathing in a fluid motion; and then begin to observe whatever you see around you.  Just move your eyes from place to place in the space; noticing things, people, conversations, movements of those around you.  As you engage in this observation, begin to allow your awareness to focus on the mental observations you begin forming.  How many “judgements” of what is going on surrounding you.  Do you find your inner conversation drawing you into that judgement, or are you able to continue observing your surroundings and staying with your breath?  Practice this observation technique at various times during your day, and begin to become aware of how you engage in being an observer.
